About Southwest Wisconsin Technical College
Southwest Wisconsin Technical College began its operation as Vocational, Technical, and Adult Education District on July 1, 1967, long before anyone realized the impact a small vocational college would have on southwest Wisconsin. Now nearly 50 years since a handful of community legends ceremoniously broke ground in that cornfield, Southwest Tech has trained and educated tens of thousands of students who continue to influence every aspect of daily living in southwest Wisconsin. Today, Southwest Tech offers associate degree programs, technical diplomas, and certifications.
Many of Southwest Tech’s degrees, diplomas, and certificates are available 100% online. Online courses are offered in two formats, one of which is accelerated, and both are taught by knowledgeable instructors. Southwest Tech’s online degrees feature the same assistance and resources enjoyed by on-campus students, including health counseling, online tutors, and advisors.
