Program Details

The Master of Science in Cyber Security and Information Assurance offered online by Southern Utah University has two specializations.  You can choose an emphasis in either:

  • Cyber and Web Security
  • Government Regulation, Compliance and IS Controls

Either of these graduate programs will prepare you for a criminal justice career in Cyber Security.  Protection of systems from external attack is vital in government, as we protect our national infrastructure.  It is equally as critical to the private sector.  Creating, implementing and managing systems to withstand attack, you will complete coursework in all aspects of Cyber Security, including:

  • Vulnerability
  • Threat assessment
  • Emergency and disaster planning

Requirements

This program requires 33 credits for completion.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on 4.0 scale) covering the last 60 semester or 90 quarter hours in the undergraduate degree
  • Letter of intent
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • One set of official transcripts
  • A minimum GRE score of 300
  • Qualifying Entrance Exam
