Program Details
SU Shreveport offers the online AAS in Health Information Technology. The field of Health Information Technology is a rapidly growing profession. Program graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification examination administered by the American Health Information Management Association. After successfully passing the examination, graduates earn the credential Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
Requirements
This degree program requires two Professional Practice Experiences (PPEs), which may be performed in students' specific geographic regions.
- Official high school transcript or equivalent
- Official college transcript, if applicable
- All new first-time freshmen under 25 years of age who are degree-seeking are required to submit ACT, SAT, Compass, or Accuplacer scores
