Program Details

The online Master of Science in Systems Engineering is designed to meet the goal of developing and managing systems, including products and services, that fulfill customer requirements. Students will learn how to consider and assess engineering, technology, environmental, management, risk, and economic factors throughout product lifecycles. 

The program covers foundational knowledge in systems engineering while exposing students to a diverse array of topics, such as reliability, quality, logistics/supply networks, operations research, engineering management, software engineering, telecommunications, and environmental engineering. Emphasis is placed on cultivating “systems thinking” skills, enabling engineers and engineering managers to make more effective decisions within a business enterprise. The curriculum is designed to build upon existing engineering/technical education and experience while developing problem-definition and problem-solving skills.
