Program Details

The DNP / Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program provides nurses with the required clinical competencies and theoretical knowledge necessary to deliver quality psychiatric care for patients of all ages. Graduates are eligible to take the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification exam from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Students in this online psychiatric nursing program gain advanced skills in evidence-based practice, leadership, policy, finance, informatics, and genomics/ethics. Online courses are supplemented with four on-campus immersion experiences. Graduates can choose to work directly with patients and their families or to pursue leadership roles in healthcare settings.
