Program Details

Southern Arkansas University offers a Master of Education degree in Special Education. This program is for students interested in learning about how special needs can positively and negatively affect a child's learning. Goals of this program include learning about each individual's needs and how to tweak instruction based on those needs.

Requirements

  • Official transcript from where you have obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above (4.0 scale) or a 2.75 on the last 60 hours of undergraduate work
  • GRE, GMAT, or MAT test scores (waived for applicants with a 3.0 GPA or higher)
  • Valid general education teaching license
  • Letter of intent
  • Interview
