Program Details

Southern Arkansas University offers a Master of Education degree in Gifted & Talented Education K-12. The program is for students who wish to gain more expertise in studies on gifted and talented learners at the K-12 level. Goals of the program include recognizing differences among these students, modifying instruction to meet their needs, and utilizing technologies to enhance their learning.


  • Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above (4.0 scale) or a 2.75 on the last 60 hours of undergraduate work
  • Official transcript from where you have obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • GRE, GMAT, or MAT test scores (waived for applicants with a 3.0 GPA or higher)
  • Current teaching license
