Program Overview

Southeastern University offers the Bachelor of Science in Psychology, where students can begin to acquire the skills needed to counsel people in the spirit of Christ. Students will explore various theories that explain normal behavior in different life cycles, all seen through the lens of faith. This degree program prepares students to pursue graduate or doctoral degrees in counseling and/or psychology.

    Southeastern University was established in 1935 in Alabama with the purpose of training pastors and missionaries, and later relocated to Lakeland in 1946. Today, the co-educational, private, not-for-profit liberal arts university continues to promote Christianity through well-rounded programs, including regularly scheduled chapel services, volunteer service, music programs, clubs and organizations, and intercollegiate and intramural sports.
