Southeastern University’s Bachelor of Science in Business and Professional Leadership program is ideal for individuals seeking leadership careers within the business sector.  Students will study general business concepts as well as skills in management and leadership that are relevant to business environments.  Students will be taught skills that are relevant to a variety of business settings such as healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and privately owned businesses.  

Students will gain a liberal arts education that includes Christian exploration and the understanding of living in God’s world.  In the major program, students will study the principles of leadership plus historical figures who were successful in leadings others.  The program will teach practical and Biblical views of servant leadership, theories in major business and leadership practices, and the importance of ethical behavior in an organization.  The program emphasizes the importance of recognizing those who are being lead as valuable resources as opposed to systems and structures.  Students should also learn how to communicate with a variety of people using oral, written, collaborative, and other methods.  Other business topics include financial management, marketing, and law.

Individuals who have earned an associate’s degree or who have started a bachelor’s but didn't complete it may also enroll in this program.  The program can be pursued by students who have already begun careers in management or business and who wish to advance their possibilities.  Those who complete this program have the ability to pursue careers in a variety of places including church leadership, business management, and the government.

    Southeastern University was established in 1935 in Alabama with the purpose of training pastors and missionaries, and later relocated to Lakeland in 1946. Today, the co-educational, private, not-for-profit liberal arts university continues to promote Christianity through well-rounded programs, including regularly scheduled chapel services, volunteer service, music programs, clubs and organizations, and intercollegiate and intramural sports.

    Southeastern University offers associate's, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, and has developed an online program to cater to the needs of working Christian adults pursuing bachelor's and master's degrees.
