Program Details

Southeastern Oklahoma State University offers the online MS in Occupational Safety & Health. This program is designed for students with an interest in the safety, health, and welfare of personnel at various businesses and organizations. It is the goal of OSH professionals to promote a safe work environment, protecting employees, families, and communities. Required courses cover topics such as:

  • Workers Compensation
  • Legal Liability
  • Food Safety
  • Toxicology


Two weekend on-campus labs are required.

  • Bachelor of science degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field, or Bachelor’s degree and the additional courses Introduction to Occupational Safety & Health, Introduction to Fire Science, Construction Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, and HAZMAT, or their equivalent
  • Minimum of a 2.75 GPA on all undergraduate work completed and 2.75 minimum GPA in all occupational safety courses completed
  • 800 word essay describing anticipated contributions to the profession of occupational safety & health
