Southeastern Oklahoma State University offers an online Master of Education in School Counseling degree. The program prepares individuals to expand their knowledge and impact on young lives. Being a school counselor includes guiding on careers, advising on colleges, and helping with future plans. Students of this program take classes that teach on child development, assessment, and psychopathology.
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum 2.75 overall GPA or minimum 3.0 GPA in the last 60 hours of courses AND a valid teaching certificate, or
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum 2.0 overall GPA AND a valid teaching certificate AND a packet consisting of a current resume demonstrating two years of teaching experience, one professional letter of recommendation, and a letter of application that outlines the applicant's career goals and objectives (including how an M.Ed. in School Counseling will enhance their career) that must be reviewed and approved by program faculty, or
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university and at least 6 hours in a graduate program from a regionally accredited university with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and must be in good standing at previous university AND a valid teaching certificate
