Master of Science in Accounting
The Master of Science in Accounting prepares students for professions in both corporate and public accounting. Focusing on a curriculum in analytic thinking and math skills, students will study accounting, auditing, and taxation principles as they apply to various business entities. Students will also gain an understanding of the accounting profession, ethical responsibilities, and critical analysis strategies to find solutions within the organizational environment.
The number of credit hours necessary to complete this degree is dependent on the bachelor’s degree that a student holds; whether it is a non-business bachelor’s degree (76 required credit hours) or a business-related bachelor’s degree (48 required credit hours). Graduates with the necessary degree credentials may qualify to take the Certified Public Accountant Examination (CPA), if approved to do so through their state of residency.
