Program Details
Students in the Postgraduate Nurse Educator Certificate program learn theories of teaching and learning in a variety of settings with an emphasis on nursing education. This online Nurse Educator program is designed for nurses with an existing master’s degree who want to earn national certification in a new role.
The program can be completed in as little as one year, with web-based courses and a field-based practicum experience. Students learn how to develop curriculum, evaluate programming, and conduct assessments in nursing education.

- Must have a master's degree in nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program, with an approved statistical methods course within the past 5 years
- Submit evidence of current RN licensure
- 1500 hours of documented nursing practice prior to first clinical course
- Complete compliance requirements: background check, FBI fingerprint, drug screen, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, ACLS certification for FNP specialization, professional liability insurance, influenza vaccine, TB test
