Program Details

The online IT Fundamentals Short-Term Technical Certificate program provides the fundamental courses needed to prepare for any of the multiple Computer Information Systems programs or areas of specialization offered by Sinclair Community College. All courses in this program may be applied toward various degree programs in the CIS Department, and upon completion, students gain an understanding of:

• Modern programming techniques and languages
• The systems development methodology used in creating software systems in current environments
• Various computer operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Mac, application software (word processing, spreadsheets, and databases), and the underlying hardware elements of modern computers
