With Simmons University’s online Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, board certified APRNs with a master’s degree can gain the clinical, research, and leadership skills necessary to improve healthcare delivery in various environments. Students gain important competencies in professional practice leadership, focusing on the healthcare outcomes for patients and communities.

Immersive clinical experiences allow students to apply online coursework and research in real-world healthcare settings. A DNP project includes at least 1,000 hours of practice-based research conducted at a site in the student’s local area or current workplace.
