Seward County Community College was established in Liberal, Kansas, in 1967 with classes officially starting on Sept. 2, 1969. SCCC is a two-year institution offering programs of study, including Adult Basic Education, certificate programs, and associate’s degrees, operating under the mission to "provide opportunities to enrich and improve each person's life through a range of academic programs." Online degree programs are offered through EduKan, a cooperative effort between six western Kansas community colleges.
