The Liberal Arts and Sciences Degree: Arts and Humanities Emphasis teaches students how to make effective decisions, think critically, communicate effectively, solve problems, and more. Enrolled students who choose this degree may receive a wide breadth of knowledge throughout the program. Individuals are often attracted to this program because it gives them the chance to explore their interests and select an area of emphasis. A liberal arts program is ideal for students who are not ready to commit to a major at a four-year university or college. By selecting courses that cater to their own interests, participants are able to explore many topics until they find an area which is right for them.

This program is ideal for students who are planning to transfer to a four-year college or institution. Those who transfer commonly major in areas of English, film studies, fine arts, foreign languages, humanities, history, music, philosophy, theater arts, or other related areas. Participants who are not planning to transfer into a four-year college or university may directly enter the workforce after earning their degree. These graduates may hold entry-level positions in a wide variety of fields.

This program may be completed completely online. Students will choose courses in the areas of English communication, mathematics, arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, physical and biological sciences, and language. These courses will equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to pursue a higher education or gain employment.
