Program Details

San Bernardino Valley College offers an online psychology degree, the Associate of Arts in Psychology.  This is a transfer degree, preparing students to transfer to a bachelor’s degree in psychology at a four-year institution.  With this psychology degree you will gain an education in the core aspects of Psychology along with general education courses, preparing you to enter a bachelor’s degree program above the freshman level.    

Psychology is both a natural and a social science that involves the study of human behavior, thoughts, and emotions.  You will study research methods, statistics, biological influences on behavior and mental processes, and major theoretical perspectives in psychology.  Students find that this is a broad discipline involving both pure science and the practical application of science to daily life.
