Program Details

The Associate of Science in Sociology is an online sociology degree from Salt Lake Community College.  This is a way to begin your education if you are thinking about a career in social services, law, or business.  This is a two-year degree that allows you to study when and where it is most convenient for you.  Sociology involves the social causes and consequences of human behavior.  Students will study subject matter ranging from the family to deviant behavior; gender to social problems; and divisions of race, ethnicity, and class to shared beliefs of a common culture while delving into the social causes behind human behavior.  This online sociology degree prepares you to enter a four-year college or university to further your studies in the field.
