The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration offered at Saint Peter’s University located in Jersey City, New Jersey, is a part of the university’s School of Professional and Continuing Students (SPCS). The school’s mission is to provide quality education based on Jesuit ideals to students.
The curriculum offered at the School of Professional and Continuing Students reflects contemporary theory and research based on best practices for adult learning environments. SPCS offers the Bachelor of Science in Administration with concentrations in Accounting, Business Management, Marketing Management, and International Business. SPCS courses are delivered in adult-friendly eight-week sessions, split between in-class and online learning. Before students may continue their degree focused in Business Administration, they must complete the core learning courses required for Saint Peter’s University, requiring 48 credit hours. Applicants who wish to seek admission to SPCS should send an official transcript. The school will evaluate transfer credits based on official transcripts, and may waive or award credit for prior received education; up to 66 credits from a two-year school, and 90 credits from a four-year school. One-half of earned credits may be applied to any major, but the last 30 credits must be taken at Saint Peter’s.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration curriculum offers adults a degree option that is flexible with student’s everyday busy lives. In addition to completing the 48 required general curriculum credit hours, candidates must complete a business core curriculum as well. The general business curriculum requires 27 additional credits. Students must also complete a core curriculum specific to their chosen concentration, and credit hours will vary based on this decision.
Including the 27 business core credits, the Business Management concentration will require 45 credit hours, in addition to the required general curriculum of 48 credit hours.
