Program Overview

Saint Leo University offers a B.A. in Business Administration with a specialization in Logistics. This online degree is designed for interested individuals to further their knowledge of the business field for careers in supply chain management.

Throughout the program, students should expand their skills in communications, be able to understand and analyze business implications and complex business programs, as well as make ethical decisions. By earning a specializing in Logistics, student will be taught how goods are delivered, and how it is done in an effective and efficient manner. Students can expect to study the products are services in both civilian and military organizations. Some of the topics studied may include electronic order processing, purchasing, distribution, cargo transportation, and quality management. Participants may also study cost and price considerations, limitations on modes of transportation, and how to maximize ordering systems and levels.

Students will complete Common Body of Knowledge, general education, logistic specialization, and elective courses totaling 122 credit hours. A few of the specialization courses include Transportation and Distribution Management, Procurement, Purchasing and Vendor Management, and Logistical Inventory Control and Materials Management. The logistics specialization courses will require 30 credit hours worth of classes. Individuals will need to complete a 3-credit logistics portfolio where they will be expected to construct a formal report and presentation.

Earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management allows students to learn the basics of human resources, entrepreneurship, strategic management, and organizational behavior and development. Students may have the opportunity to attend conferences, join organizations such as Sigma Beta Delta, or complete an internship.
