Program Details

Stand apart in secondary education with the Online Accelerated Teaching Certification (OATCERT). You’ll gain the skills and the initial credential to lead secondary education (grades 7-12) within one of the traditional content areas: math, science, English, or social studies.

Offered completely online, the OATCERT program is an efficient, cost-effective way to advance your classroom instruction, leadership skills, and career options. Graduates also qualify for secondary education certification in Pennsylvania, a credential recognized by more than 30 other states.

There is no entrance exam for this 30 credit Certification which consists of 4 semesters of coursework plus 1 semester of supervised student teaching at your choice of public, private or international institution.

Note that by completing just two additional courses, OATCERT graduates can also earn a MS in Education – Secondary Education. The program is competitively priced and financial aid may be available to those who qualify.
