Master of Science in Education in Special Education / Deaf & Hard of Hearing Education (PK-12)
Saint Joseph’s University

Program Details

Prepare for a career working with an important part of the student population, those with hearing loss, with this online special education degree. Learn to support these students’ learning and development through a rigorous and well-rounded curriculum. Courses prepare candidates to use the latest technologies to facilitate meaningful and differentiated learning experiences and to better communicate with deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Improving your sign language and alternative communication skills is encouraged.

If you hold Level 1 Certification in early childhood, elementary, middle school, or secondary education, you may choose between PK-8 or 7-12 grade-level certifications. With either grade level certification, students enjoy small classes and connections with professors and classmates. You will work at your own pace, choosing how many courses you wish to complete each term.
