Program Details

The Leadership track of Saint Francis’ online Doctor of Nursing Practice prepares nurses to expand their abilities and influence regarding nursing interventions, healthcare outcomes, and health practices and policy. Graduates of this doctoral-level program can achieve leadership roles in a variety of healthcare environments.

Coursework emphasizes safe practice using research, evidence, analysis, and critical thinking. Additional Info

  • Must have a BSN and master's degree in health administration, leadership, or other approved area of study from regionally accredited institutions and ACEN, CNEA, or CCNE accredited nursing programs
  • Submit copy of unencumbered RN license
  • Show evidence of any practicum hours completed for master's degree
  • One year professional nursing experience preferred
  • Programs prepare students for professional licensure or certification in Illinois. Additional education requirements or special authorization may be required from the professional licensing or certification agencies for states outside of Illinois.
