Program Details

The online Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics provides for a wide range of career opportunities as managers, specialists, scientists, researchers, and educators in various health care settings including hospitals and health care facilities, laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, insurance, and governmental agencies.  The curriculum prepares students to work with computing systems and technologies in order to make the modern practice of medicine, pharmaceuticals, and clinical research more efficient and effective in the management of health care.  There are four specialization tracks available to students:

  • Nanomedicine and Clinical Informatics
  • Consumer/Patient Care Informatics
  • Bioinformatics
  • Hospital/Healthcare Management Informatics


  • Three letters of recommendation 
  • Official transcripts(s) of previous collegiate work or last earned degrees
  • Personal statement describing interest and commitment to the program
