The online Associate of Science in Criminal Justice program prepares students to continue their educations in a bachelor’s degree program in four-year institutions or to begin careers in criminal justice and law enforcement. The curriculum provides a liberal arts core and interdisciplinary criminal justice base while focusing on law, law enforcement, and corrections. The program examines legal systems, the impact of crime, the criminal justice system’s role, and organization and techniques of applied criminal justice. Graduates are familiar with the Constitution, have critical thinking skills, and are able to analyze the influence of addiction, socioeconomic, and environmental factors on criminal behavior.
