Program Details

The online Master of Science in Health Promotion and Wellness program prepares students to be innovative leaders who implement effective health promotion and wellness strategies for the people they serve.  The curriculum teaches students how to teach others to lead healthy lifestyles, prepares them to help organizations develop wellness plans for employees, and teaches them how to help people with chronic diseases improve their quality of life and reduce disability.  Graduates have the desire to help others improve their health and well-being and know how to encourage people to adopt healthy lifestyles to prevent disease.


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Cumulative minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Minimum of two courses in the life/physical sciences and one course in the social sciences with a grade of “C” or better
  • One letter of recommendation
  • Official transcripts from each college, university or community college previously attended
  • Professional experience recommended
