Program Details

The online AAS in Paralegal Studies degree program from Rockford Career College provides students with the opportunity to continue their paralega/legal secretary studies beyond the diploma level. A combination of courses in general and core subjects prepares students for success in law offices by exploring topics such as:

  • Administrative Law
  • Intellectual Property
  • Human Resources Law
  • Criminal Law

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Digital Learning Readiness Assessment
  • Must be at least 17 years of age
  • Must have 54 quarter credit hours in a paralegal concentration or be a graduate of a paralegal-related field program (i.e., Paralegal, Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, etc.)
  • Certificate/diploma or coursework must have been completed at an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and confirmed with official transcripts in English
  • Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher from the previous educational institution
