Advanced Certificate in Service Leadership & Innovation
Rochester Institute of Technology offers an Advanced Certificate in Service Systems for individuals who want to learn how to monitor, measure, and improve service-related business activity and outcomes. Through the program, students will learn how service activity is monitored and measured and how managers can utilize data systems to find ways to improve service performance. In addition, students will study to expand their understanding of how service-oriented organizations operate and the roles of service-oriented organizations in society.
Through the program, students will hope to further their management skills, techniques, and metrics as they apply to service oriented businesses and organizations. The curriculum consists of 15 credit hours which include managing not-for-profit and public sector projects, service quality processes in the not-for-profit and public sectors, and data mining in the not-for-profit and public sectors.
Students completing the certificate will need to have demonstrated the necessary qualifications of professionals in the field which include the ability to construct and develop approaches to providing and managing services as part of organizational activity, understanding the nature of customer service relationships and the management of relationships for continued business activity, and to understand the metrics that are used in services to measure and monitor results and satisfaction.
In addition, students will need to display an understanding of service management design and implementation, the use of service value management as part of the structures and processes of business activity, and the nature of service-oriented businesses.
