Program Details

The online Master of Science in Applied Statistics program focuses on building a strong foundation and providing practical tools necessary for detailed and impactful analysis of data in the workplace.  Students will learn principles of business, sciences, linguistics, and engineering that all related to statistics and the analysis of data.  The flexible curriculum allows students to establish a plan of study tailored to their interests and career goals while they learn and work with industry-standard statistical and data analytic software.  Students are able to choose from a series of concentrations or design their own sequence of elective courses.


  • Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
  • A 3.0 GPA strongly recommended
  • Have a satisfactory background in mathematics and statistics (preferably two courses in probability and statistics)
  • Official transcripts (in English) of all previously completed undergraduate and graduate course work
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • A current resume
  • A test of English Language aptitude is required of all applicants and course registrants whose native language is not English
  • Scores from the GRE are not required, however they may be beneficial for some students
