Human Resource Development MS
Rochester Institute of Technology offers a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Development is designed for those in management and human resources who are interested in how to maximize the potential of employees and leaders. The program focuses on designing programs to influence an organization’s human assets in order to manage morale, efficiency, and behaviors to meet the environment of the organization. The program aims to increase employee effectiveness by focusing on supervisory roles in understanding, communicating, and implementing organizational policies.
Students will take part in a curriculum which will expand their understanding of business operations and the roles taken by managers to control employee activity. The curriculum consists of 36 credit hours where students will study topics such as program evaluation and design, performance analysis and development, and breakthrough thinking, creativity, and innovation.
Students who complete this degree will have the potential to exemplify knowledge and preparation to function as a manager and leader in human resources, the ability to apply the key concepts, theories, practices, laws and regulations in the fields of human resources management and development, and organizational behavior and change, and how to respect and constructively support others in a diverse operating workplace and to demonstrate knowledge of strategic management, principals of staffing, compensation, benefits, employee development, employee relations, and labor management.
