Program Details

The online Advanced Certificate in Applied Statistics program is designed for professionals who would like to concentrate on the area of applied statistics without taking the time to earn the other credentials necessary to finish a MS degree.  All courses can be applied toward the MS degree in Applied Statistics if a student decides to continue in the program.  Students are prepared for careers in a wide variety of fields.  Courses may include:

  • Regression Analysis
  • Foundations of Experimental Design
  • Survey Design and Analysis
  • Predictive Analytics
  • Principles of Statistical Data Mining

Requirements

  • Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
  • A 3.0 GPA strongly recommended
  • Have a satisfactory background in mathematics and statistics (preferably two courses in probability and statistics)
  • Official transcripts (in English) of all previously completed undergraduate and graduate course work
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • A current resume
  • A test of English Language aptitude is required of all applicants and course registrants whose native language is not English
  • Scores from the GRE are not required, however they may be beneficial for some students
