Program Details

The online Healthcare Informatics Diploma prepares students to be part of a multidisciplinary field that involves information technology and the management of health data and information.  Students will learn to assist in the building and enhancement of electronic health record systems for use by healthcare providers and healthcare organizations to improve access to, and utilization of, health information.  Core courses include Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Coding, Reimbursement, Supervision of Health Information, Computerized Health Information, Legal Aspects, Quality Management, and Healthcare Data Analysis.
