Customer Service Administrative Specialist - Diploma
Rochester Community and Technical College offers a Customer Service Administrative Specialist Diploma that prepares students to work in call centers/help desks, customer support services, customer relations, and a wide variety of business settings. Students will learn how to provide technical information and services to customers, how to handle complicated requests, and how to design and recommend changes to programs and guidelines. Other skills that will be mastered include communication, marketing, and operations management skills.
This online program consists of 33 credit hours that can be completed in at least one year. Full- and part-time schedules are available for courses and can be started any semester.
Students enrolled in the Customer Service Administrative Specialist program at Rochester Community and Technical College are required to complete General Education Courses, Professionally-Related Business Requirements, and Electives. General Education courses include Written and Oral Communication, Internet Applications, English Grammar for Careers, and Employment Strategies. The purpose of these courses is to improve computer/information literacy and career/personal development.
Professionally-Related Business Requirements include Keyboarding for Computers, Human Relations in Organizations, Information Resource Management, Business Communications, Customer Service Skills and Concepts, Planning & Forecasting Based on Customer Service, Developing an Electronic Portfolio, and Internship. One computer course is also required for the program, as well as electives in Computer Voice Technology and Keyboarding Speed/Accuracy.
