Administrative Assistant Refresher - Certificate
Rochester Community and Technical College offers an Administrative Assistant Refresher Certificate that is designed for students who have already worked in an administrative assistant position. It is also beneficial to individuals who have left the administrative assistant career field but wish to return. The goal of this program is to update students on current technology and software. By enrolling in this program, an individual will be able to show employers they possess the skills used in business technology.
The program consists of 20 credit hours and can be completed in more than one term but less than one year. Full- and part-time schedules are available for courses and can be started any semester.
Students enrolled in the Administrative Assistant Refresher program at Rochester Community and Technical College are required to complete Professionally-Related Business Requirements and two Elective Credits. The Professionally-Related Business courses required for this program include English Grammar for Careers, Quality Issues for Business Transcription, Word Processing, Business Communications, Customer Service Skills and Concepts, Microcomputer Business Applications, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook. The recommended electives that are available include Keyboarding Speed & Accuracy, Internet Applications, Information Resource Management, and Internship.
