Program Details

The Associate of Arts degree program offered by Rochester College is an online program offered to students with little to no college credit. This degree can be used as a launching pad for further educational pursuits or to use to advance a career. An associate’s degree is a general education degree this helps a student build a foundation for their future as well as broaden their base of knowledge and skills. Generally, this program can be completed in two years.

Students must take 39 credit hours of General Education requirements, including Communications, English Composition, Fine Arts Appreciation, Literature, Science, Social Science, and Critical Thinking and Mathematical Competency. These courses are designed to give the student a foundation in a broad number of skills and knowledge sets so as to fully prepare them for either an advancement in their career or to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program either in the Rochester College community or elsewhere.

Students enrolled in this program are also required to take at least one Bible course, specifically a Christian Values class called Life of Christ. Students must also take a Computer Information Systems course called Software Applications.
