Roanoke-Chowan Community College is a public, two-year college located in Ahoskie, North Carolina. The school was established in 1967 with the purchase of land with the ambition of starting a two-year vocational and technical training institution. The name changed a couple times throughout the years.
RCCC has about 20 academic programs where students seek degrees, diplomas, and short-term skills based certificates. The school has also made moves to great a better transfer program for those students who wish to transfer to a four-year institution. RCCC also has expanded the distance learning program and more dual-enrollment opportunities for high school students.
