Program Details

Are you ready to advance your nursing career while gaining greater autonomy?  The Family Nurse Practitioner program online, an MSN concentration from Rivier University, provides the skills and knowledge needed for RNs to become primary care providers.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will provide primary care to patients of all ages in a variety of settings.  FNPs are able to diagnose and treat patients’ medical problems, prescribe medication, and improve the patients’ health outcomes and quality of life.  Your other role is one of researcher, educator, advocate, and counselor.  Through such topics as pathophysiology, health assessment, family nursing theory, quality healthcare improvement, and health policy, students are able to competently perform these tasks.

Students in Rivier’s online FNP programs benefit from strong academics, individualized attention, and a focus on active learning.  The qualified and dynamic faculty offer personal advising and are committed to helping students be successful in both their academic and professional lives.
