The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in General Business is designed to provide business training for various entry-level positions in business. The courses include an introduction to business concepts, accounting and computer principles, and legal issues related to business.
This program allows students to gain skills in business management, marketing, accounting, human resources and supervision to effectively lead organizations. It is also designed to acquaint students with major subject areas of business, to improve the student's business vocabulary, and to provide students with an understanding of influencing factors in business decision making and activities. In addition, this program could aid a student in recognizing a specific business field to be pursued in future studies. Although many courses will transfer to a four-year institution, some courses do not.
The total number of credits required for this certificate is 21. Students must earn a grade of "C" or better in all courses within the program.

Rio Salado College is a community college located in Tempe, Arizona that was originally founded in 1967 as one of the 10 Maricopa County community colleges. Since 1996, the school has offered online classes and, starting in 2006, a majority of the courses have been transferred online. The school is recognized as a leader in Higher Education with specialization in distance learning and online education.
