The online Master of Science in Health Care Informatics and Information Management program is designed for current health care professionals looking to expand their knowledge of systems planning and implementation, workflow design, security management, and electronic health information management. Students also learn about project management, leadership development, and ethics as taught from a health care perspective. Graduates understand technology and its role in promoting the effective organization, management, and use of information with the heath care environment, and also work to bridge the gap between clinicians and technical employees.
- A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale or a satisfactory score on the Graduate Records Exam (GRE) or the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). Two or three years of management experience in a health industry setting with exposure to health care systems is strongly recommended
