Program Details

With a Master of Divinity concentration in the New Testament from Regent University you will be able to integrate aspects of the influence of Jesus in the first century church into your contemporary ministry.  In this advanced degree, you will study the second 27 books of the Bible and become prepared for full-time ministry and teaching undergraduate coursework.  Electives within this concentration include:

  • New Testament theology
  • Synoptic gospels
  • Luke-Acts
  • Pauline epistles
  • Johannine literature

Regent’s Master of Divinity in the New Testament requires a capstone course.  This culmination of your learning can be demonstrated through clinical pastoral education, a master’s thesis, or spiritual formation portfolio project.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required of all master’s applicants
  • Official transcripts
  • A minimum GPA of 2.75
  • High intellectual achievement and scholarship as evidenced by college transcripts and the applicant's writing sample
  • Spiritual maturity and integrity of character
  • Personal goals consistent with the mission of Regent University
