Program Details

With eight matriculation dates throughout the year, Regent University’s Master of Divinity in Christian Theology degree can fit your schedule.  In this graduate program, you will be well-equipped to lead a ministry.  You will enhance your knowledge of Christianity worldwide, from both biblical and historical perspectives.  This advanced degree offers you flexibility to focus your studies in areas of your interests and professional goals.  Topics are likely to include:  

  • Christology
  • Soteriology
  • Ecclesiology
  • Apologetics
  • Christian ethics

Regent’s Master of Divinity in Christian Theology requires a capstone course.  This culmination of your learning can be demonstrated through clinical pastoral education, a master’s thesis, or spiritual formation portfolio project.


  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required of all master’s applicants
  • Official transcripts
  • A minimum GPA of 2.75
  • High intellectual achievement and scholarship as evidenced by college transcripts and the applicant's writing sample
  • Spiritual maturity and integrity of character
  • Personal goals consistent with the mission of Regent University
