Master of Arts in Government / American Government
The American Government concentration educates students who have a passion for government and public policy with the competencies necessary to think Biblically and perform skillfully in the public arena.
Coursework focuses on the integration of law and public policy, including two courses of Constitutional Law taught by a former U.S. Department of Justice official. Additional coursework includes classes in terrorism and homeland security, presidential and congressional leadership, Anglo-American Constitutionalism, and American foreign policy.
As the nation’s premier Christian graduate school of government, Regent University’s Robertson School of Government (RSG) prepares students for principled leadership and service in government and nonprofit organizations. RSG students enjoy a personal 15:1 student-to-faculty ratio and have the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s most seasoned scholars and practitioners, including former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft and former Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Vern Clark. RSG graduates serve in strategic positions in the White House, Capitol Hill, Departments of Justice, State, and Homeland Security. Many are also key leaders in public policy think tanks, advocacy groups, and in state and local governments across the nation.
