The Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership with a concentration in K-12 School Leadership is an online program that provides continuing education for teachers and is designed for those seeking initial Administrative endorsement. Courses have been organized around the six Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) standards and the endorsement competencies for Administration and Supervision preK-12 as issued by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) in preparation for positions as assistant principal or principal. The Ed.S., which may be completed in just five semesters, is a degree in and of itself, but it may also be earned on the way to the completion of the terminal Ed.D.
This program requires two four-day summer residencies in Virginia Beach.
