Program Details

The Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Character Education is an online program that will help you make a positive impact on students by specifically focusing upon sound character education theory and up-to-date research in the area of character education. In addition, the program builds upon and extends the recognized work of the National Character Education Clearing House established at Regent University by the U.S. Department of Education. Enjoy the best materials currently available in the field, as well as interaction with faculty who are leading innovative and effective programs on a local, state and national level. The Ed.S., which may be completed in just five semesters, is a degree in and of itself, but it may also be earned on the way to the completion of the terminal Ed.D.

This program requires two four-day summer residencies in Virginia Beach.

Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP)

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) now administers both NCATE and TEAC accreditation. Current accreditation status under NCATE and TEAC for education programs will continue through the accreditation term, during which they will be CAEP Eligible.
