Doctor of Ministry / Military Ministry
While the Master of Divinity degree is the prerequisite for military chaplaincy, today’s military chaplains are encouraged to include a Doctor of Ministry as the preferred terminal professional degree. Regent University partners with various military agencies and organizations in a commitment to advance the professional and educational goals of chaplains dedicated to the ministry of service members and wanting to achieve a doctoral degree.
The Military Ministry specialization equips chaplains to deal with critical care and intervention strategies, and provides them with personal resources to work in a demanding environment. Students may be eligible to transfer up to six credits, based on individual evaluation of transcripts.
