Raritan Valley Community College offers a Liberal Arts Associate's Degree entirely online. Liberal Arts is the study of basic knowledge and the development of one’s ability to think clearly. Liberal Arts can be a good foundation for a variety of careers.
Graduates of the RVCC Liberal Arts Degree are able to think critically, interpret complex ideas and demonstrate high level skills in oral and written communication. Students also develop skills in written communication and textual explanation, analysis and interpretation and demonstrate the ability to apply classroom learning to solve real-world problems.
The 61- to 65-credit program offers students a wide variety of online courses to choose from. Students take courses in English, mathematics, science, the arts, social sciences, foreign language, history, and more. Students can also choose to concentrate in Social Science, Music, Studio Arts, Theatre or Communication. The Liberal Arts Associate’s Degree is ideal for those looking to easily transfer into the junior year of study at a four-year college. RVCC has transfer agreements with close to 50 colleges and universities; however, Raritan strongly advises to discuss the General Education Foundation Courses with a counselor.

Raritan Valley Community College is a public, two-year community college located in North Branch, New Jersey. The institution was originally founded in 1966 as Somerset County College. The college was renamed Raritan Valley Community College in 1987 when it became the official community college for two counties: Somerset and Hunterdon. The mission of RVCC is to be “...an educational community that works to develop critical thinking, foster intellectual curiosity, promote leadership, encourage social responsibility, support personal growth, and sustain engaged citizenship within a diverse population of students and community members.”
RVCC offers associate's degree programs and certificates. Several programs can be completed entirely online.
