Program Overview

Raritan Valley Community College offers a variety of concentrations in their Liberal Arts program. One of these degree options from Raritan Valley Community College includes a Business Liberal Arts degree. This 63-65 credit program allows students to sample business coursework within a Liberal Arts framework. The program is designed to maximize credit transfer to four-year colleges, especially schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). With this degree, students will have the business prerequisites to transfer directly into select business schools in New Jersey.

Although this degree is offered online, a few of the required courses may be only offered onsite at the college. However, RVCC assures that at least 85 percent of the courses are offered online. The curriculum includes general education courses and business related courses, such as business administration, managerial accounting, macroeconomics, and financial accounting. In the program, students learn to identify business concepts as they relate to current business activities, examine financial statements as a basis for economic decision-making, and produce business documents using current computer applications. The program also provides flexibility for business students who have not decided on a specialization within the business field.
