Prepare for a career working with students with special needs with this online special education degree. This program was designed for professionals working in related fields. It provides a deeper understanding of children with special needs. Learn about the support they require, the laws that protect them, and the role and impact various disabilities have across all aspects of children’s lives.  

An important focus area for this online special education degree is the laws that protect children with disabilities, especially the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Another area of focus is on learning how to provide all students with engaging, differentiated learning opportunities that allow them to access the curriculum along with their non-disabled peers.

• Cross Endorsement for those who already hold an initial teaching certificate and want to add a Special Education K-12 teaching endorsement.
• Research in Special Education track.
