Master of Science in Interactive Media
Quinnipiac University offers a Master of Science degree in Interactive Media for students in web design, business, and communications who want to utilize the internet and other interactive sources of media to communicate and to create content for distribution in the internet, portable media devices and related digital platforms. Through the program, students will become leaders, producers, and managers for organizations of different sizes and scopes which utilize interactive media, as well as develop knowledge of communication theory and innovation, along with production techniques and tools.
Students will focus on developing knowledge of specialized services and forms of interactive media through a curriculum that emphasizes planning and technical knowledge of interactive media. Those classes include theories of interactive media, interactive writing, user centered design, internet ethics and policy, project planning, visual design, interactive animation, interactive techniques, media production, social media platforms, concepts and usage, social media analytics, community management, and strategic planning.
Through completion of the program and curriculum, students will have demonstrated the qualifications and qualities of a master of interactive media. These qualifications include the ability to demonstrate effective professional and interpersonal practices essential in interactive media, to develop a range of professional strategies that promote their effectiveness in utilization of interactive media to communicate with clients, and to demonstrate ethical, legal, and responsible behavior in the utilization of interactive media, including the rights to privacy for clients and other users, as well as ethical and legal protection of the firm.

To qualify for admission to the master of science in interactive media program, a student must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
